Parked next to my car at Gaydon, I was given the bottom photo a few years later. I have my head in the back on another photo at Sandown park.

Hello Dusz and Stuart. Great pics and great colours.Best of luck with the refurb Dusz.My Orange mk 2 was built in 1981 but the front arches look a lo narrower than Stuarts judging from the fantastic rear shot ie last pic. I would love to post a few pics of mine but just cant master this photo bucket lark.Is there any other way to post pics on this forum. When I had my Matra Murena I could add picture attachments directly to the matra forum. Regards TOG.

Hi Tog, the early mk2 had narrower front arches, mainly on the leading edge though. You can upload photos directly to the forum as long as they aren't too big.
I didn't resize mine, I just set the camera to a smaller size. Photos do tend to get lost from the forum though, hopefully James is copying them to the club website as well.

Hi Stuart
That's me in the bottom pic. This is before tinted glass was fitted.

Tog the easiest way I have found is through imgur.com simply the easiest and least invasive regarding advertisements etc.

Stuart you seem to have a lot of photos of Midas, do you own a scanner at all? Might be worthwhile scanning them in and sending them onto me to upload to the site :)

Yes I realised I had a photo of you too :) tell us about the tinted glass, it looks fantastic in the photo. Also I notice the dashboard doesn't have eyeball vents, is it a soft trim brown interior? I've only ever seen a blue/grey soft trim version before.

If only I had a scanner, I don't have many photos in the grand scheme of things, perhaps I'll have to buy a scanner and share what I do have.

Interesting to see a yellow Mk2 Midas.

Stuart, I hadn't realised how nice the Mk2's look in black with the Silver Revolution RFX wheels. It has quite a nice stance there looking from the rear. Even with the TR7 lights, which are not usually my bag.

Cheers David, the wheels looked much better in silver than black, the correct ride-height helps too. Black is great when just polished, I'm not sure I'd repaint it black when the time comes though. I really must give that car some love again.

Hi Stuart
Yes, it is a soft trim version in light brown. Looks a bit odd to start with but I got used to it. Just remebered that was another task as the tubes supplying the fresh air to the vents were not connected so always got a cabin full of cold air until I sorted it out. Also, my first drive to get it home was freezing. What they didn't tell me was that they had fitted a VW Polo water valve, the standard Mini valve is still there but was in the full open position. The only problem with the Polo valve is that it operates in the opposite way so there was me thinking that I was trying to get more heat when in fact I was turning it off.
Will have to get my records out to check up on the tinted glass, where I got it from and when it was fitted.
