amazingly, today, the airlock cleared itself, before I got the chance to fit the bleed valve !!
I had this same problem with my Reliant Scimitar, the fitting of an expansion tank, higher than the engine fixed all airlock/overheating problems in a stroke !

..And finally, all fitted, heater plumbed in and working, fresh air vents working, Air/Fuel ratio meter ok and has confirmed my mixture was way too rich !!

Thanks Kelvink....I still have to do the flocking on the dashboard, as it is still in primer, but I agree, it is looking tidy !!

Have now got a very nice, tinted windscreen fitted by my local AutoGlass Special team !!
Went in a dream, and the rubber gasket I was advised to use, works perfectly.

..and finally, today had the windows tinted !
got Drug Dealer black on the back and rear sides and 70% tint on the doors....looking good ! Pictures later

While I had the front of the car off, i took the opportunity to replace my broken Cibie driving lamps.
These are mounted on the bumper and NOT on the monocoque as per the Cibie's
As you can see they are not recessed any more !

Of course, they have yet to be aligned correctly.

I think I have found the solution to not having enough room for a standard size battery in the engine bay and not wanting to run very expensive cable to the boot: A racing battery - to go with my Avonbar Racing engine @|@
