There are still several options for photo hosting. JohnO posted this suggestion for FlickR viewtopic.php?f=75&t=2809

Hans favours photos.google.com - viewtopic.php?f=66&t=2804&p=17994#p17994

My personal preference is for FlickR, but only because that is where I started to compile some photo albums for customers.

Looks like photobucket is working again?

Not much has been done on the Midas for a long time as I have been building a new garage, which the Midas now inhabits.
The only real progress is the relocation of the battery to the rear and installation of a mini MPI loom.

Hopefully the new ecu will arrive soon and I can build a new engine loom

Well it's 8 months (ish) later and after what feels like months of work theres not much really to show for it

A custom engine loom was built for the megasquirt ECU and the engine fired into life for the first time back in August.
Next up was the turbo, the space upfront is very tight and even a silicon elbow would touch the rad so the turbo met the hacksaw and an elbow was welded on

Then it was onto the intercooler, I bought a VW unit but it didn't really suit so the end tanks where cut off to make a bespoke item

I'm not a big fan of the standard headlights and because of the engine swap I'd have to space the driver's side unit forward a bit which I'm not a fan of. So I looked at some Hella 90mm units and mocked them up. I'm fairly happy happy with the outcome so I'll go ahead with them

As said before it's very tight up front so a dogleged boost pipe was needed to clear the fan

Boost pipes need a bead to stop them blowing off so a bead roller was made

So that's the boost pipes and dump valve done

Nissan use a cable clutch which works perfectly fine on my mini build but I didn't fancy that strain put on the grp bulkhead so a willwood pull cylinder was bought and mounted

More recently everything has been stripped down ready for painting etc, the one thing that would certainly be an engine out job is the clutch so that was changed.
I didn't have an alignment tool so i made one

Bit more of an update and for me this is a big milestone, the engine and subframe have gone in for the final time

Also the front suspension is built up and the car is back on 4 wheels
