Hello,

Part load is where it takes time and patience. I just settled on an average curve overall after a while. Main thing for me was the utmost reliability I have had since the changeover to megajolt. plus it is very portable from engine to engine too. I have vacuum on the couple and TPS on the KAD.

Surprisingly the KAD is quite the pussycat to drive. A bit heavy on the juice with webers, but then it would be. Pulls away very well at 1000rpm all the way up to 8.5k (although it can go higher). I didnt build it as a GT, but I dont think it would be a problem being one, I would just need to change the noisy drop gears back to helical. Its all a personal opinion though I suppose.

Just continuing with the MJLJ theme David, Did you just work from the base map using your bum as the dyno or has the beast been on the rollers?

Yes thats basically what I did. Used based map and set off doing power runs (on a quiet private stretch of road of course!).

The ETB dash has a built in 0-60 timer which starts as soon as the gps mechanism detects a new fix (ie when the car starts to move), so used that to get my times.

Ho Ho Ho.....Santa came early this year.

Ah looks just like a normal gearbox.....(Clue, look closely. Count the gears on the laygear :) ).

...in a last off the line new casing.

The usual weak link, the third motion bearing, rolls in a steel caged double roller.

Cheers Stuart.

I was never good at waiting. I was the kind of tinker who used to search out all the hiding places.

Just taken delivery of a couple of nice tricky bits today.

The worlds only set of Ti upper arms and drive flanges for a Mk3 Midas ;)

Drive flanges (mk1/2 metro specific)

I think Carl's done a great job. They are almost too nice to fit!

My oh my! Christmas is even earlier this year David :o .

You do know that you're going to have take your wheels off at the shows now to show off your shiny bits :)

Lol. Judging by the last show I don't think many are that bothered.

Theres more interest in 50 year old technology.
