Mark 2 midas project...

Right... Hi all :)

Got the midas today

started on it straight away...

Jobs done so far:

-Oil and filter change
-Battery fitted
-Ignition barrell and wiring fitted and all working
-Carbs removed, stripped down and cleaned, reassembled and put back on the car.
- Engine turns over ont he starter but has no spark to any of the leads, wiring problem as a certain part of the wiring loom gfot very hot when tryin to start it


Jobs to do:

-Get engine running
- strip down and get all suspension and brakes working properly
- Interior needs tidying up, carpets, reupholster seas ect...
- some bodywork stuff to do where there are chips and cracks in paint ect, some re fibreglassing to do...

aaand then stick it in for an mot at work and if it passes... get insured and drive it aboout while the mini gets an enigne overhaul... i hope

WHOOOOOOO got it running

did the timing, put some fresh fuel in it and she fired up got a huge fuel leak from a seal on the carb that will be easily sorted:)

lots of black smoke at first haha but it runs!!!! whoop
