Thanks, I'll need it, it looks like it will be possible to squeeze it in under the bonnet, just 8-)

So how much power/torque can you get out of one of those? How tunable(tuneable?) are they?

I'll be more than happy with more or less stock power to be honest.

Here's a very good read on some mods, that forum always runs really slowly with me for some reason

Ive managed to get a honda b20 in the front of a standard length round nosed mini van so im sure you'll make it fit! Looks alot smaller lump

Yes it's much smaller, the problem on the Midas is the sloping bonnet and the headlights that are set so far back, even David with his special A-series engines needs a higher bonnet.

I recall the chap in the Caribbean fitted a Nissan engine in a Bronze without any problems. Pics on the Yahoo forum.

Indeed, even has air-con by the look of it. That is an earlier and much smaller engine, with a much more compact gearbox that meant it could be pushed well over to the nearside.

Still it shows what can be squeezed into a MK 1 and MK 2
