I had already made some SOLID mounts for the rear of the frontframe which I could regulate and that together with rubber towermounts ...but after a lot of discussions and hearing the experience of other people I decided to go for 100% rubbermounts .
But the standard rubber mounts for the rear of the frontframe enable a lot of movement ....
So I decided to use 2 rubbermounts for each side of the frame which I can regulate to get the correct "tension "between the frame ande the body .
So I still have rubbermounts but hopely with less movement ?

As I want to support the front of the subframe (engine suzuki gti 1300) I must renforce the sidewalls (inner area above the front wheels) to accept better the forces .
But by laminating some layers , I had more polyester on my arms than on the car because I had to do it above my head .
So I put the Midas in another position ......my wive laughed and said it's a Space Car now :lol:

You can alway buy Nissan 200SX Quad light conversion to cover cam cover.

Concerning lights : the lights must have the CE mark , if not the vehicle inspection will not accept the car .

After the holydays I enjoy again to continue the conversion .
I had some problems with the custom subframe to get the right geometry .
So I bought another standard subframe and made a new caliber again to be 100% sure so that I could regulate afterwards caster/camber as perfect as possible .
After some days working ,the custom subframe geometry was as the standard subframe .
Also I found out that the fast road lower arm bush is a little tricky https://www.minispares.com/product/Clas ... 0to%20shop
Reason for that is when the bushes are not right installed the position of lower arm change a lot ( can go to the front or to the rear of the car !!!!!
Now once again I build in the engine /suspension/brakes/etc..... to find out another bad things :lol:

As winter is coming ...more time for the conversion .
Yesterday I made the tierod fixation points .
The rubbers of the tierod should make straight contact with their fixation points as much as possible , I mean if the wheel is moving the rubbers are charged in different angles .
The goal is now to do the installation in that way that the rubbers are charged as less as possible .
There for I have put the wheel in the "preferred " position and afterwards I made the tierod fixation points so that the rubbers are in the "neutral" position .

The engine is back in the car .
Before fixing/welding everthing right ,I want to regulate the camber/caster/toe already as close to the desired values (caster +- 3-4 , camber +- 2, toe out +-1.5 mm) to see if nothing is wrong .
As a lot of parts are not on the car ...I have to put some load in the car ....I calculated that I have to put +- 220 kg .
I have spread the load over the whole car ,
Finally with the load of 220 kg , the height is 55 cm from wheelarch to the ground ,which is ok for me .
The car has 165/60/R12 tires

Some work done last Saturday .....the camshaft spulley came out of the bonnet .
I cut out the original hood scoop to put him above the camshafts pulley , seems to work ..but very thight .....I 'll see next week if it was a good decision ;)
