Hi
Some news : I do some tests to see if the the engine fits in the subframe .
First tests are positive , the supports must be put in the right angle against the engine , I have seen that the right back support and the front right support are in the same angle, while the front left is about +- 10° less ,something that I did not know ,I will check the angles with a digital protractor to be sure .
Mostly all the screw threads are gone , some one has put to many torque :( , I have order some helicoils to repair the thread .

Some pictures with the subframe in the engine area ,I had to cut some pieces of the front underside to pass the subframe

Looking great.
Is that a custom subframe?

Yes , it's a custom frame using the mini frame but based on the all speed subframe .
Once you have the right position of all parts ,it's not so difficult to make it .
It's my point of view : if you build such a frame you must put the frame on a " holderframe " and see that the towers (left and right) are in the same position as in the car ( vertical , horizontal) and that the distance of the towerbolts are correct ,be aware that the holderframe and the frame you are making are always leveled at 0°,you must capture on the holderframe all important positions of the original frame, then you can start to build up the frame and adapt where necessary, I use a digital protractor for easy and accurate measuring for angles etc.....

I have started the unknown part of making a movable front !
Thanks to Alan's info , I had the courage to start this modification which will give me finally more space to put the engine and doing later easely repairs/adaptions / etc.....
The bonnet will open over the screen window !
I will laminate the bonnet together when the T° will be at least 12 - 15° C.

I have started to connect the nose to the bonnet .
It will be a lot of rubbing , lamination , rubbing ......before the bonnet will be smooth , but there's no other way ....I think ?
I started with the upside because you can better see if the two parts are correctly placed , once I have a +- solid connection , I start with the underside of the bonnet which must give the finally strenght of the bonnet .

Now I have started to renforce the sides , because I want to make a solid construction which must hold the subframe in the front (teardrops ) .

So I will have 3 fixing points subrame - body :
1) tower / subframe: which stays rather a flexible connection ,even with a 100% solid connectionparts .
2) backside subframe - bulkhead ,which will be a 100% solid connection .
3) frontside (teardrops) depending of the result of the renforcement , I will go for +- solid connection or for a 100% solid connection .

I was surprised that the actual sidewalls were not strong laminated to the bulhead (see pictures ) but maybe more than sufficient enough ?
First rubbing the gelcoat to have a good surface for laminating and than laminate with a first layer of fibre tissue ,afterwards than with some special woven fibre biaxial tissue .
I laminate inside the engine area and outside ( wheelarea)
