SOLD: MG TF Radiator+fitting kit (hoses, mounts, fan switch)

Postby lankyjames » Mon Nov 25, 2013 11:02 am

Time to clear out what remains of my midas parts, I have:

MG TF radiator
(will fit a MK1/MK2 Midas with little mods, bottom mounts are the same distance as the standard metro /allegro mk1 radiator), aluminium so lightweight, cross-flow including fan.

Rad Mounts:
4x MG TF rubber mounts for the radiator
Image

Silicone hoses:
2x ASH 30mm 45 degree (for the bottom hose)
Image

2x ASH 30mm 90 degree (for the top hose)
Image

Stainless Pipe:
1x ASH 1m x 32mm OD (for the top hose)
Image

Fan Switch:
1x 32mm including temp switch
Image

Clamps:
10x 30-40mm stainless pipe/hose clamps

This full kit should be enough to convert your MK1/2 to an upgraded aluminium radiator (which can be easily source and replaced in the future), replace the aging rubber hoses with stainless / silicone, add a fan switch (as the rad doesnt have one built-in) and secure with quality stainless clamps.

I will be putting these on ebay but thought I would offer it here first (as these are appropriate!), entire lot cost me around £100, will take sensible offers for the lot - collection preferred but of course I can post!

I could be, if it will fit into a mark 3. Can you think of any reason why it might NOT fit?

Off the top of my head no, you'll have to take into consideration the front round driving/fog lights as having never looked into a mk3 bay I don't know how the radiator mounts anyway.

I can provide radiator dimensions if you want to measure it up, but its not much larger than the metro radiator while being slightly thinner.

The Mark3 foglights don't intrude into the radiator space, so they shouldn't be a problem. Could you measure the height and width, and the distance between the bottom mounting pegs please? If I know these measurements I should be able to come to a decision.

I need to check the available room in my car before I make a decision. Hopefully I'll get that done tomorrow, as well as the MoT on my partner's Sprinter van and the mobility scooter about 60 milies away from here whose front wheels I need to replace.

Annoyingly, I was meant to have been in Nottingham over last weekend, but didn't make it due to a stripped driveshaft in Bradford and subsequent premature return home.

I'm working on it, but it's too soon to say. Are you anywhere near Littlegreen Road by any chance?

Stroke of luck David, my parents live not 5 mins walk from Littlegreen, I used to have to walk to school along it, so you could say I know it pretty well!

I'll be visiting my parents this Sunday, so I could drop the items off at Littlegreen and save on postage, effort and Royal Mail drop-kicks and you can collect at your leisure!
