Unfinished project for sale.

Postby sherwood-ranger » Mon Mar 02, 2015 11:38 pm

Due to a change in circumstances I am going to have to sell my Midas bronze project. The shell is pretty much stripped. The rear suspension has been refurbished and refitted, it features new bearings, new brakes and new AVO adjustable coil over shocks. The front subframe has been fully rebuilt with Timkin bearings, new brakes, new UJ's and fully adjustable suspension. There is a new stainless steel fuel tank, new steering rack, new old stock radiator and fan. I have sourced a lot of the parts needed including front and rear lights. The car is registered. The engine is a 1275 unit but will need a total rebuild or replacing. I have spent well over £2000 pounds, the front subframe was over £1000 alone. I am looking for a sensible offer but need the car gone. The car can be viewed in Witney, oxon. If you need more info I can be contacted on 07765030103 but get a very poor signal at work so may not answer straight away. Thanks for looking Terry.

Sad to hear you're giving up on the rebuild. Which Midas is it? Mk1 Mk2 Mk3 ..........

Photo is also well worth putting up here too

Hi, I think it is a wide arch mk1, but Alistair would have to confirm. He knows the car as the plan was for him to rebuild it. Shame I can't do it now but the firm I work for are in trouble and I can't justify the expense.

I'm obviously sorry to hear about your change in circumstances.

Your car is a MK2 with the slightly wider front arches.

For anyone interested, I can confirm that the work that Terry had already done on the front subframe and suspension is to a very high standard.

Hi, this looks good. How much would you want for the car sensibly? Is it in a condition to be rolled onto a trailer and where are you please?
