I purchased this Midas kit direct from GTM in 1995 and it is Chassis No 1 of the Mk4 series, and has its original Signal Red gel coat.
Sadly, it looks like I will be unable to finish this project due to time pressures and I would like to pass it on to someone in the Midas community, who has the time and energy to complete it.
The engine comes from a Rover ‘K’ series car, and is 1.4GTi multi-point injection, the speedometer was from the same car and shows c17,000 miles.
The car has always been garaged and as such the gel coat is still as new.
The following parts are still to be fitted (all supplied):
• Heated front windscreen
• Heated rear screen
• Side glass
• Door glass
• Carpets and sound deadening felt
• Bonnet striker
• Rear seat belts
• Rubber door seals
The engine will need re-commissioning as it has never been run in this car.
The buyer will need to trailer the car away.
Midas build manual and Haynes Metro manuals included.
When finished, this car will be virtually as new.
