Midas mk1 or 2

Postby Benb12 » Wed Jun 01, 2011 10:49 am

I'm looking for a mk 1 or 2 midas bronze in any condition. Does not need to be a runner or even have an engine at all!

Thanks
Ben

Hi Benb12
I have a mk1 bronze 'W' reg. which I have been unable to complete due to poor health. It can be described as a rolling shell, the usual Matte White with some minor gel cracks at the front. All windows wheels and a lot of bits & pieces including a dismantled 1300 engine/Gbox which needs re-bore shells valve seats etc. plus an 1100 engine condition unknown. The condition of the rear beam has not been checked. I am open to offers. If you are interested you could contact me at mini.midas@yahoo.co.uk. I could take pictures and complete a full list of all the bits for you to consider if it is worth a journey for you to see.

Nope, not Ben! I've been after one too and e-mailed deadshort not long after his post appeared on the forum. I viewed it today and it does need a fair bit of work but that's exactly what I am after. I will be starting a rebuild thread once I get it home. Photos will be posted once I get my camera back having left it at my brother's house today (130 miles away..) Oops! :o

I would also like to find a barn, my garage is too small to have a car in it, even a Midas.

I was lucky enough to be living on a farm when I built my first Midas**.

Hello
Have a look at my Mk2 recommission thread in the rebuilds section.
Do you think this might suit you?
