Can't find it, I'm afraid it probably got skipped with the useless master cylinder it was attached to. I've found the cap though......

You mean with the nipple trouble or the car in general?

I just sold one the other day to a guy with a master cylinder attached.

I might have another one though.

I will have a look.

...yes I have a new old stock (still in yellow ap box) master cylinder complete with reservoir.

open to reasonable offers if you want it.

No use to me as both my Midas now have twin masters.

Hot brakes locking up is a problem earlier discussed (can't recall on Yahoo or this forum). It is caused by a misadjusted piston in the master cylinder. It is blocking small fluid relief holes that you can see now the reservoir is removed from the body. I suspect there is no gasket or rubber between the master cylinder and the servo. The master cylinder sits too low, so the push rod from the servo is pushing the piston upwards in front of the hole. Now the reservoir is gone, stick a needle in the small holes and check that you don't hit the pistons.
Is this Dot5 fluid silicone based? I had a collegue who used it on his old Lancia and caused a lot of problems.

been on a few long trips peterborough when I bought the car and stoneleigh when I took it down to the show .
Last time I was going to meet Alan at Corbridge classic car show and only got 6 miles away from my house
felt like one of the rear shoes had dislodged and locked the rear up (wouldn't go back or forward)
when the AA turned up the vehicle had cooled down and went on and off the transporter no problem
stripped down the rear brakes found a slight leak on one of the cylinders so replaced both .Thought it may be a problem
with contamination in the fluid or heating up as it was a scortcher of a day so decided on Lucas dot 5.1 (nothing on the bottle about synthetic)
just to eliminate one of the problems before going on to something major. Then snapped the nipple last one to blow out all the old stuff.
