Have just found this on e bay under 'mg metro& classic mini engine 1400 twincam' Reading the ad,she has been left it in a pile of junk in the garage by her ex partner-a very annoyed ex partner when he finds she has sold it! standing at £330 at the moment, bargain for somebody [in leicester]. Stuart can probably put the link in-I cant. thanks,Stan.

Beaten to it!

Looks like it still needs a bit of work, but also - as you say - potentially a bargain for someone. Pity it's so far away from me!

Smells a bit fishy to me.
She's only left feedback twice, maybe just an infrequent ebayer perhaps.
She claims to know nothing about the engine, but includes a detailed picture of the crosshatching on the bore walls. To someone who knows nothing of engines, that would just look like nasty scratches, why make a point of it?
Whether true or not, with 5 days to go it'll go for a lot more than £330.

One of our northern group has tried a similar head on a Mk 1, and he said it sticks above the bonnet line. so you will need a very large bulge!
