hi Tankosl,
welcome to the forum and don't worry about feeling silly, we've all been (still are) there, and there are many owners who are happy to help keep our lovely little cars on the road.

Welcome Mark - they're a good bunch on here as I've found out whilst stripping my Mk1 that's been off the road (and damp!) since 2000. Any questions you have you're welcome to drop me a PM. I might not know the answer but I can certainly try!

By the way, read my Rebuild Thread - you may get some ideas! Oh, and if you don't have one, buy a Dremel - best tool in my garage with regards to rusty bolts

I've never met your wife, you are probably better qualified to discuss her but is this the correct place to do it?

Does it make it better or worse if I admit to being single?
