first midas?

Hiya folks, owned Midas's for years, but only just got round to joining the forum, being a bit of a technophobe. Anyway, last night I was looking thro' old photos to illustrate a magazine article and came across a picture of my ex's Midas which I suspect may have been the first production one. It was white, reg no. JEH448V and chassis no. D010000. She exchanged it at a dealer in Harrogate for a Fiat 127 with which she was quite happy. The car was subsequently bought by a Mr Andy Harrison from Bradford.

Hi Ben,
Welcome to the forum, I hope you enjoy it being here.
According to the "Midas Latest" Newsletter of September 1979 the first Midas was delivered on August 25 th 1979 to a mr. Smith of Hendon and it was a red one.
When did your ex wife get hers?

Hi Hans, I can't remember with any degree of accuracy, I think it might have been mid to late 1980's
