Hi Tog. Good to hear of another new owner. Which Midas did you get, and where are you?

There's a few more shows coming up so if you get the time pop along and say hi to a few of the other members.

Oh and welcome of course!

Hello Stuart and all. I cannot say for certain Whether it was sprayed or not.No overspray or evidence of a different colour as has been sugested..List of jobs to do ;New carpets.Seat restoration or replacement. door hinge repair. indicators not working but hazzards work and a few worn bushes to be diagnosed and replaced. The person I bought the car of was very honest in his discription. In the past four years I have purchased a Fiat 128 sl coupe in Italy .beautifull car .kept it for two years and sold it to aguy in the Shetland Isles. I then purchased a Talbot Matra Murena 2.2 .Fine car.Expensive to run.Not suited to Irish tarrifs Sold back to another gentleman in London. Now I have my Midas and I am Thrilled with it and when I sort out the above list and soften out the ride somewhat I think this car will be with me for the long haul , Regards TOG

Hello all. I am slowly getting through my to do list IE; Mx 5 seats. door hinges.painting mirrors.clutch pipe. radius arm repair but the biggest supprise was the total transformation in the driving experience when I repaced the knuckle in the front suspension passenger side . The knuckle was actually sitting on top of the suspension arm rather than the hole meaning that the passenger side front was near enough solid. Now the bump and steering creaks are nearly eliminated.I cannot believe such a small part could make such a difference. I now take the car out every chance I can.Definitly not a car for a shrinking violet .I would post afew pics but the site seems to block my efforts to do so and on that subject I cannot seem to view any attachments.Yours TOG

Hello tog. Good to hear your enjoying your car. Great stuff!

Why not host you photos on a site like photobucket and link the pictures to here. It should work fine either way.

All the best.

David.
