Evening All

Just a quick line to say Hello to you all.
I'm building up a Mk6 Mini Marcos at present, but have always quite liked the Midas from back in the day (I'm old enough to remember the Gordon Murray adverts and have a magazine somewhere, where the Gold Coupe was compared with a comparable little Honda coupe.
Anyway, now the club mag's are combined I'll be dropping in here every now and again to pick up any little pearls of wisdom I can and who knows - if I ever get this build finished I might start another!
Here's my garage escape (3 years and counting):

Thanks for the welcome - I'm hoping there's stuff to learn from all these little fibreglass cars.
I'm particularly interested in the alternate engines which are being experimented with.
I'm guessing I'm not the only one who thinks for Marcos Heritage/Midas to continue to promote these car, it would be much better to use a more modern, more easily accessible alternative. While most (mini) parts are available, there's no more A-Series being produced!
And as the MM is hopefully going to be a daily driver, something with a 5 speed box would be nice one day.
As it is I reckon I'm still at least a couple of years off completion :(

Yep - they're kept well pumped up (40+psi) and moved back and forward regularly :)
