Hi all,
I became a Midas owner at the weekend for the first time. It needs a lot of work but is already on the road to recovery ;)

Meeting its new roomie for the first time-

Took the head off the engine that came with it and it seems in good order. It's had a +.030 overbore means I've got a full 1301cc of throbbing A series power!! Head seems to have been ported too and has double valve springs so may have a hotter cam in there. Valve sizes are only std 1275 sizes but I'm very happy with what I've found so far.

Welcome to the forum and good luck with the rebuild. Great to see all these old cars being revived.

Thanks, yeah it's been off the road for 13yrs after an engine swap that 'stalled'.

Further evidence that there's a performance cam hiding in there? Hopefully this is a dizzy matched to the cam by Piper.
