I'm Jim (gooseman) and i live in the USA, I posted on the old forum & finally gotten around to the new one (thanks david). My car is a Bronze mk2 with a 998 and presently is running well & im able to go on Sunday morning rides which i enjoy. Last sunday i stopped for gas & met an Indian who grew up in England, he was fascinated with the Midas and wanted to know all about it, took a bunch of pics on his cell phone, a very nice fellow. He even told me that i was "living the dream"...my ego was swollen to a bursting point  ..LOL! Looking forward to reading & posting on this forum, jim

Hello Jim!

I had my first happy snapper the other night, while I was paying for my fuel a bloke in a new Alfa pulled up and jumped out to take some pics. The odd thing was that he then jumped back in his car and headed off without a word. :?:

A bronze in the US, that's cool,,,hm, would be nice to know if there more or less in the US than in germany, lol...
When the former owner and I took the Gold to the gas-station right in the moment we leave the car a guy appeared and asked: What is that thing? I mean, the station was in the same very small town
where the owner lifes with his car...
... I really love the sometimes funny looks the people gave my Gold, or when they watch but try to pretend NOT to watch ;)

Before fate leads the Gold to me I watched for a Bronze (more Mini-parts), but seems a tough job to run them official over here...

No,
I'm not from New Zealand, and I bought my Gold from another german (first owner of my car).
Ok, now I have a watch of on your link...yeah, I see that one before when I researched all I can find about Midas on the net...hope the car is a driver, I mean, at least it's a car, and cars are made for beeing
on the road and driven, or not?
It's nice to see that a lot of the Midas cars are used as daily drivers, because they are perfect for it.
