I have owned the car since June 2003, but has been off the road for last few years awaiting engine & gearbox rebuild - the car having skidded to a halt without applying the brakes!

Hi Ian,

Welcome to the Midas forum. I hope you find all the info you need here!

It would be great if you could put some info on your car in the live or dead section!

Kind regards,

David

heh heh, the one and only time it happened to me it was due to large parts of the gearbox making a break for the fresh air.

i had a similar situation in summer.....large parts of gearbox appearing, however I was sailing a 50ft boat.....and it broke in two disconnecting engine from propellor just as the night was drawing in, several miles offshore. That was real despair! lol ;)
