Midas Gold Coupe

Hi,

I'm from germany (remember me?) and bought a Midas Gold Coupe from it's first owner 2 weeks ago! At first I registered it with a season-license-plate, because I not allready decided if I use it as my main-car or just in the summer (depends on my Mini, if he makes the MOT next year or not, lol).
The car is in a very good condition I would say (heater doesn't work, but who cares?), so maybe some new fluids, tires and a battery will do it for now .
As far as I know it's equiped with a slightly tuned A+-engine (maybe more than slightly) and runs well the 370km to my home, so I decided to enjoy it for the next week and then - back to the garage and start
working on it ;)

Only one week left, why did I choose the season-plate ???

welcome back to the forum Michael.

A little tip is to put your images on photobucket or some other similar site, that way the photos will always be backed up.

There are 2 LHD Gold coupees in the Netherlands. In Germany at least 2 coupees, 1 convertible and 1 Cortez.

My Midas is now in the garage until April 2010, and by now only the heater doesn't seem to work (blower not really too), also the heating for the rear window seems not to work...peanuts I would say, nothing that really bothers me...

Heater is an easy fix (if motor is working). This is a common issue on the Mk3s. Have a look around in my old notes on this forum for the fix.

...the motor works/blows, but Matthias said it seems to have less power...

might be worth checking the resistance on the resister/two speed switch

maybe its working half speed?

These can fail.
