Theres not a lot I dont know about the mk3's by now. I have done the book more or less ;)....but always willing to know more.

really hit a wall electrics are a mess i dont have a clue what im looking at and for some reason there are 2 fuse boxes really gutted

Obviously I can't see your loom, but if it's been chopped and messed with you might be as well seeing if you can source an intact Metro loom and start with a known quantity.

managed to sort most of the wiring my dad came to the rescue and got most of the lights going for me the only problem is 1 fuse keeps blowing everytime i turn the ignition on and we cant get to the bottom of it

i have had a look through your gold convertible resurrection and noticed you fitted a new fuel tank what is the tenk off and was it easy to do

It's a MK1 three door Metro tank, it's not a difficult job to do really.

does anybody know if rover 100 indicator and wiper are a straight swop for the old austin ones cheers

I don't believe they are, the Rover Metro ones (A series) do fit the earlier Austin Metro. They come up on ebay quite frequently.
