I hope it works out for you. At least you will still have a Midas when you put that jap engine in.
I agree that the Coupe do has its uses. The load space is great. I have used it many times for moving flatpack kitchens to some of the flats I have been working on. No trouble at all!
I think I even managed one time to get 3 or 4 1000mm units with doors in as well as a sink. Not bad.
