Hi All,

Can the four people, who expressed interest in the last five heated front screens, please get in touch. I should soon be in a position to finalise the transaction.

Regards Alan

In the matter of the rubber seal, have we come to a definite conclusion yet? Having always understood it was supposed to be Reliant Robin/Rialto, I've been browsing a Reliant forum where someone says it's the same as a Mini. I once had a length from Charlie, but it turned out to be unusable because it had gone hard. Unfortunately I seem to have chucked it out without even keeping a bit for reference...memo to self, never throw anything away!

geoff, from memory i think it is similar profile to the mini seal, albeit there is an additional flap over the outside edge which covers more grp. woolies supply one which will do, which is where I got mine from.

might be worth if someone else could clarify too.

Dear Geoff, I changed a front screen rubber some years ago. The replacement was clearly marked with a sticker that said "Reliant Robin/Kitten". The inner slot was different to the outer and when compared was different to a mini. I had fitted the mini one to the Midas, cos it was on the shelf, and looked "not right", the screen sat "proud" from the body flange, as if the screen was too big for the hole. As the screen was original, I deduced that the prob was with the rubber..
A friend obtained the Reliant one from a supplier in Manchester whose name I've forgotten.
The Reliant one did the trick and has been there for many miles'
The filler strip fitted both types.

I not sure what the difference was, I think that the Reliant outer was bigger than the Mini, probably double.

Michaels of Selby may be of help, the guy in the stores is very knowledgable.

At the time of looking for this, A company down south called Bainbridge had the two types on their catalogue, along with many other profiles, much more than Woolies.

Hope this helps some, Regards, Ron

Hello All,

Just thought I'd let you all know, that we sold 29 of the 30 windscreens ordered. If we need anymore, I will have to make another order for ten screens!

I'm only keeping my original two HFS, as I only want to end up with two cars in stock, a coupe and a convertible! So there is still one screen left to sell. Not bad really from an original order of 30! So in time I will have two Midas Bronzes for sale. Although it maybe three Bronzes for sale, if another deal I'm working on comes off!
So there is only one HFS screen available in the world. But I still have three that have been paid for but not collected. The only way to get more is another minimum order of ten screens. But I think that would be a difficult task, knowing the effort I had to make to sell the last order! Though never say never!

Well, a few people must have fitted their screens by now! Winter draws on, and I'm wondering what to do about a switch, as the Midas dash isn't very well suited to add-ons, and also where to power it from, as the fuse box is not the old type with plenty of spare blades to choose from.

I just used the heated rear window circuit to power mine, though as I have a convertible I don't have a rear screen to worry about heating.
