The title says it. Measure 1000 times and cut once. Made my rear beam, went to put it on the car and realised it's a few inches too short! Do I chop it up and weld those extra inches in or be bone idle and use spacers on the rear wheels?

Get your jigsaw, cut a strip out of the centre of the car, bond it back together. Less frontal area, more speed! Easy!

a few inches? No probs. cut it in the middle and add those inches. might be worth sleeving it too with slight overlap for strength.

No, no, no, throw it away and make a new one...
