A bit of sun at last

Postby Moneypit » Wed Mar 21, 2012 11:52 pm

Finally a bit of weather warm enough to get the top down! A bit of wind through the old greying 'barnet' makes this little motor even more enjoyable. Can't believe how much it's grown on me.I've always liked the looks and idea of the Midas but it was only meant as a bit of a stop gap while I get my Latham on the road. The old metro suspension squeeks a little and it sometimes wants to chase lines in the road rather than where I want it to go but generally it's very well behaved and a lot of fun!I think I'll have to keep it and eventually treat it to some of the mods that are well documented on here. The suspension seems a must.
Has any body ever made a folding frame for the soft top? Might try that myself.
So the Latham stays under it's cover, waiting ... could be a while! ;)

That's on my wishlist as well. I hope something from another car fits (or can be made to fit), I reckon a custom made frame and softtop will be expensive with labour rates these days.
