If you can spend 100000 dollars, perhaps. Nonetheless a fantastic achievement, going 251km/h (155mph) in a 1000cc Mini:

The aerodynamics of a Midas do lend to it a bit more than the mini has going for it!

They had a 970cc with 16v BMW? Bike head and turbo'd. Did it say how many bhp that made?

Yes it's the inlet pipe.....although its not cut to size by the look of it....the pipe isn't connected to the inter cooler.

It might be possible to do better but it won't be particularly easy. I'll be doing around 150mph tomorrow with any luck but not in the Midas. I wouldn't mind having a go at seeing what is possible in one....

The best Ed and I have done in a mk3 coupe is around 190kph. And then we are talking maximum revs!

I hit 105 mph not maximum revs though just scared of breaking it

My 72hp 1275 powered mk2 with a 2.95 diff would pull 6000 revs pretty easily, that's 120 ish.
