Just got back from a successful visit to my friendly MoT man, had a cup of coffee and bought my road tax, so after a near six year lay-off we're all road legal again.
I still use the MoT place local to where I used to live near Cambridge, which is thirty miles from home, so that gave the brakes a bit of chance to bed in. Really enjoyed the trip home with a fresh certificate on the passenger seat. Looking forward to Stoneleigh now.

Amen to that
Mine has a son, now an adult, who used to be in the children's group which I ran. He is also a classic car owner

The garage I use is a family affair - both father and son have tested my Midas, AC and Triumph - I've been going there for thirteen years now. What I like is that I am properly involved in the test; I drive it on the rollers, onto the ramp, point out where I want it jacked, tell them what work I've done on it and generally have a good chin wag about cars. They built the engine for my Midas so have a genuine interest in it. Much better than sitting in a waiting room while the test is carried out largely unseen.
