still a bit to go, but looking ok.

Planning on making some moulds off them and then spraying them silver.

90mm lamps can be used in these apertures.

Wow that looks really good David! Certainly a contrasting colour will look better than if you did them in white I imagine.

Thanks Stuart.

They are based off the smart car roadster headlamp covers which I have reshaped. I need to make a copy in grp and do some slight remoulding to ensure the gaps are covered on each side (about 3mm), but its going to do the trick.

Really easy to incorporate and I'm hoping not to have to do any cutting. If there is any it will be to relieve the top headlamp mounting a touch for the top lamp....but if I get the mould right, it wont need to do that either.

New beam and radius arms come on Tuesday ;)

Heres a preview....

David,
Are those metal fabrications in your favourite metal?

I think you will need some ballast soon!

Hi Victor,

Yes it is. ;). One way of curing the issues with the rear sub frame rotting (amongst others).

I will probably need a sack of potatoes in the back in winter to counter the weight loss ;)

Hi David,
Looks terrific. I think they look best in the same color as the bodywork aka white. Because now it's a sort of droop shape. In white the twin lights also appear brighter. If you have a good sharp pics I could see what happens in photoshop.
Cheers, Hans

Sounds like a nice plan Hans.

Wait until I get the convertible back on its wheels next week and I will push it out of the garage to get some perspective photos.

All I need now is a set of 70mm lamps.

I measured the lamp apertures diameters and they are 70mm. I thought they were 90mm, although I could always cut them back to get 90mm.
