Well, armed with caliper and measure and straight edges etc and checking some things out I can confirm some good news to those wanting to go down the 7 port route.
I have measured up and I can confirm that a 7 port WILL fit under a standard Mk3 bonnet as long as its either fitted with motorbike throttle bodies such as the K1/2 GSXR600/GSXR750's or with some specialised aftermarket throttle bodies such as supplied by AT Power or the 30mm TS ones from Jenvey.

So if you want to still use the A series engine, and have it fuel injected by bolting on a cylinder head and megasquirting it.....yes you can. It will fit....just!
The 7 port pierce manifold head is a dead easy installation...same gaskets, same torque figures on head, same rockers, same cam, same clearances. Minispares 7 port is same more or less too.
Obviously this only applies to the MK3's as that is what I have the 7 ports on so can do the comparisons with them fitted.
If you want to fit 40 DCOE webers, these wont fit without relieving the bonnet like I did because the float chambers are too bulky.
All the best.
David
