Hey folks Doing a big push on the car this weekend as you may have read. I've just bought a 1m*1m 6mm sheet of lexan to do the rear hatch does anyone have a spare hatch and big sheet of paper? lol

I can make a template from ply first but if anyone has one and some spare time any chance of tracing me a template?

Thanks

G

Years ago I made a sketch of my Gold rear window for a friend who had broken his window. If noone comes up with something better, I can scan the sketch and upload it. As far as I know the rear window of the Bronze is the same of the Gold.

Thanks Hans :) appreciate the response. I have a ply hatch just now but its not a great fit so I can use that as a starting point if need be. Want to get this as right as possible cost me best part of £100 delivered for 1m*1m*6mm

For that money you could have it probably cut to size from automotive glass by a specialist. A Dutch Midas friend had to do it because he broke his window. Only drawback was no heating anymore. He had it made from green tinted glass and got so enthusiastic that he replaced all windows by green tinted ones!

Thanks Hans :) I asked about a few auto glass places round hear and they were all about £160+VAT for custom work. none of them were too keen either. At leaste with the Lexan it shouldn't brake and its quite easy to polish out any scratches it will gain.

Hello

It looks as though I should instigate the heated rear hatch buying program again. I've been too busy to carry it through! But as I'm just about to receive a Mk 3 coupe with no glass at all. I' better get my as-- into gear. I will start another topic on it tonight, as I cannot remember who wanted a Heated rear screen (HRS from now on)
