Has anyone seen the thread running on Pistonheads about the Stafford show? there are some manufacturers and past and present show organisers posting in the thread.

Yes Stuart, not looking good and hardly surprising in the current climate. They will learn when its too late, then it will take 10 years to get the gate numbers up.

The government is not helping either with all their health and safety red tape on IVA or whatever the current name it is.

How the hell can anyone innovative in this country without huge financial assistance. Unless this is addressed its going downhill fast. People with back garden businesses (where a lot of the big businesses started from) have no chance of flourishing.

The SMMT is a form of regulatory mafia just like GASSAFE (aka CORGI) only set on protecting itself and its members.

Bads not a strong enough word. I used to love Donington with the Ultimas belting round the track but Stoneleigh always been my favourite when the weathers good enough to roam around all of the different owners clubs and each individuals take on their cars
