Exeter Kit Car Show 27th/28th October 2012

Postby davidj » Mon Oct 15, 2012 2:37 pm

Hi All

Even though Midas Cars are not exhibiting this year is anyone thinking of going ? If so and we state day and time here maybe we can meet up to compare notes etc., maybe have a beer. Entry is free if you go in a Midas or other kit car and there are plenty of trade stands in the halls if it is wet.

Oh wow time flies!!! I didn't realise we are this far through October already.

Righty ho I'll try to get along. this will be the first time I'll be going without some form of kit or other so I'll have to be a regular punter I suppose. What day are folk going to be there ? I'll be coming across from Dorchester so anyone en route not tempted enough to go on their todd I don't mind swinging by and they can hop in a Picasso as there's spare seats.

I'll be there, if you see me with the car do say hello. It's a red convertible on Metro crosswires.

I've got to go to Birmingham on Saturday, if I'm back in a reasonable time I'll be there on Saturday, if not, it'll be Sunday.

As it happens, Mr,Mrs and junior Max Midas are in Cornwall this weekend (not in a Midas - junior in the boot?), so may be able to skew plans to include the show.
No promises, but post up here when if Sunday, would be good to meet fellow slaves to their automotive mistresses. ;)

If going on Sunday I'd strongly recommend going early, people always seem to pack up early and you can be left wondering what you just coughed £10 for if you turn up after 2pm.

I'm aiming to get down there for Sunday morning and make the most of the slightly warmer weather forecast me thinks. Possibly take Evie with me too so if you see my co-pilot wagging her tail ask her to point me out.

Well, that was a bit of a disappointment!

Never seen so few manufacturers, retailers and cars at this one before. The good news is that if you were looking for a BB gun or toy helicopter you were in the right place.

That sounds a bit sad really.

This is where all this health and safety madness gets us. No one able to make anything...because they are not allowed to sell it....and to be able to sell it puts its cost out of the reach of joe public....so no shows and no new cars.

A huge stitch up job by the big corps.

When we are all speaking Mandarin it will be too late to do anything about it.
