Another great day out at Castle Combe. A sunny day and three sessions on the track, all at a discounted rate thanks to Tony M's great negotiating skills :D

This year we had eight cars in attendance: four Cortez/2+2 coupes, three Gold Convertibles and me in my Excelsior.

Adrian Lee was new to the action day, but went around extremely quickly (I couldn't keep up  )in his bright red Gold convertible:

My Excelsior now knows its own way around Combe, I just have to keep a look out for errant Minis

Let's see a few more cars next year. Where are all the Mini based coupes?

Seeing as Castle Combe is relatively local to me, what personal equipment is required before going round the track? I've got my old helmet and fireproofs from my rallying days, but they haven't been in date this century.

Some info here http://www.castlecombecircuit.co.uk/trackdays/faqs.asp

if you do the parade lap/laps you don't need a helmet (I think)

Thanks Stuart, my reading of that is that head and arms covered will do the trick. Something to work towards for next year.

I was trying to get my mk2 ready for this year but unfortunately missed it by a mile, I will be there next year!
