Spreader Plates? And also earthing points

Just a couple of queries:

I have been looking at a couple of other fibreglass car rebuilds recently and wonder if it is necessary to incorporate speader plates into the areas of higher stress such as subframe, beam and engine steady mounts. My thoughts behind it is kind of a "Belt and Braces" approach as the last thing I would want is cracked 31 year old fibreglass around these areas should they be put under stress.

I know it's extra work but it is a kind of "fit and forget" as the car is almost totally stripped now, and if I am going to do it at any point, it may as well be now.

Also, the wiring on my car didn't seem to have any specific earthing points other than where the front shock bolts into the engine bay. Is there a better place to use? Where is yours for example? Just trying to plan ahead :)

I'd certainly buld a spreader plate around the top engine steady, this is a common place for poor mounting. I imagine the top bolts would be fine, but front subframe rear-mounts would benefit from a simple spreader!
