The lowest grade of wet and dry you can get hold of should get rid of that mate does it go when wet can you feel the damage when you run your Hand over it if so it might have broken down the chipboard below I can get that worktop for around 40 quid a length an will fit for free if you get really stuck my mate damaged his in a renter and I ironed candle wax into the area a couple of days before he moved and the geezer never noticed

When its wet it is invisible.
You cannot feel any damage.

It literally is just damage to the varnish, so I know its repairable!

If you have a step by step to fix it, please let me know!

Bought some baby oil yesterday as I read it can mask the damage for a short period, i.e. just before moving out! However I would rather something more permanent!

I have got a step by step kit somewhere my vans in for repair it could be in there will check at the lock up personally I would just sand it a little and use oil for wooden work surfaces keep doing that with really low grade sand paper make you use a block otherwise the area will become uneven
