Dear Mfdriver
I am constantly amazed by your ingenuity and determination to succeed with improvements to XWC 296 S, even though you have only been a Midas owner for 5 weeks (I expect it seems like a lifetime?)
The answer is - yes you can fit Cobra Monaco s seats to a Midas Bronze Mk 2 Coupe, and hopefully attached are some photos to prove it. You will find it a very trying experience, and you will need to measure the base fittings very carefully, otherwise the floor will end up looking like the lid of a pepper pot.
If you lived in a very warm, dry climate then you could drive around with the doors off, which would make things a lot easier. But you don't, so its even more amazing that they can be made to fit.
Of course, knowing your ingenuity and incredible bodging skills I know that this will be a breeze for you.
Any problems please let me know, but do not contact on Saturday or Sunday evenings when Strictly Come Dancing is on.
All the very best and with considerable admiration of your efforts so far

Is that door pocket an original fitting? I don't remember ever seeing one

I have two and they are covered in the same lining as the roof lining which I believe is original. However, I cannot answer the question as to originality!

Mine had those door pockets, they only came with the cheap trim (not the soft trim) option.
They were irritating - I always intended to cut their height down since you couldn't put smaller items in them if you wanted to be able to get them out again without taking them off.
