Fitting an RC40 to a Mk2

Hi all. I have been scouring the forum for guidance on this, I just can't live with the noise from the original single box stainless system anymore. Can anyone point me to Hans article referred to in one of the RC40 threads? I have been to his site but can't finding anything. Planning to visit Minispares tomorrow for the rear box section hoping to make it fit ;)

The text for the article is a download on this page http://midasownersclub.co.uk/downloads/

Brian has some photos too, I'll have a look.

No worries, I'm struggling to find Brian's online photos though.

Found it, although it's a Maniflow exhaust.

Killerwhat,

I'm surprised you didn't find the details about my RC40 installation on a my Mk2; here's a link

http://midasownersclub.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=863&hilit=RC40&start=10

I've tidied up the rear valance a bit since then, and also replaced the LCB manifold that was on the car when I got it with an RC40 unit. so now the whole system is RC40.

Thanks lads,
All very helpful :)
I'm trying to avoid replacing everything by grafting the RC40 back box onto the existing SS single centre box original system. The internal dia. of the RC40 slotted stub is 44mm the external dia. of the tail end SS pipe is 38mm so just got to adapt a bit. Or I might try re hanging the existing system in a more compliant manner. Most of the noise is resonance at about 3000 rpm rather than outright exhaust exit noise. In fact it's more bearable at higher rpm but everyone keeps getting in the way :o
