Hi all iam i right in saying that capri headlights fit the mk2
i know allegro,hunter and toledos do

I don't honestly know myself but I think they are different and won't fit. The only ones I can think of that stand a chance, perhaps with some surgery, are the early Mk1 i,e, these but I wouldn't hold my breath.

The 'Jeep' replacement light units look worthwhile investigating. I have a friend who has a Jeep Grande Cherokee and we did look at the units on that but they are a slightly different shape to the BL sourced ones.

190mm x 135mm and 120mm deep

I can't recall what the aperture size is on the Mk1/2 but you'll need to include for the mounting bracketry also as this will surely be different. It is however usually the bracket that rusts away and is the main problem on the Midas. Not really surprising as the car itself is GRP and does not rust so gives a rather better impression of the state of things underneath the skin than perhaps we ought to have..

One day I'll get round to sorting my Mk2 lights out. They are on the list of jobs to do.

I did assess them at the time when I first highlighted these lights on the forum, and at the time thought they would be a perfect fit.

Didnt really want capri ones,but theres listings on ebay with allegro,toledo headlamps which i beleive are the ones originally used,but it also says fits capri aswell.
and there was a set of cheap capri lights
