tailgate adjustment

Hi all,
is there any adjustment on the tailgate glass,as mines catching on the bodywork

Im afraid not. I had the same issue with my mk 2. Its the gas strut that pushes the screen over. I ended up carefully removing the screen and fitted some offset rubber bushes in the screen and re sealed the hinges back on. It hasn't moved as yet.

If there are no bushes around the glass to hinge pins then the glass can slide down quite a long way. Fozzza's come up with an easy solution.

Be careful with the glass and struts, a few people have managed to break the screen.

JUST FOUND OUT COMPLETE KITCAR WANT TO DO A LITTLE FEATURE ON IT

Very carefully undone the strutt fittings and turned the bushes slightly, and now the glass fits properly onto the rubber
