Mot and exhaust

Postby b1zbaz » Mon Mar 04, 2013 11:49 am

Hi all I'm back again to pick everybody's brain my exhaust has started blowin again on the stupid knuckle joint I'm just wondering I it is possibly an mot failure and also if anybody has any ideas on a quick easy repair to tide me over as I can't afford an exhaust yet due to my sister getting married in Cornwall and spending a fortune on my sons first birthday yesterday he did not want an exhaust for his birthday unfortunately

Knuckle joints, never fun on an exhaust, I used a simple repair kit and a lot of exhaust paste, it didn't last long unfortunately.

Wouldn't be very expensive to have a new piece welded in, but not exactly the cheapest of fixes

Looks good Baz! Had mine washed last weekend properly for once, needs some polishing / t-cut along the bonnet due to rope rash that was holding a tarp down but it still scrubs up nice! Are those MX5 seats I spy? Could you get a photo of them / your interior for me, I want to see how tall the base of the seat is in comparison with the centre tunnel

A couple of photos from the drivers and passenger side would suffice I think, I just need really low seats for headroom!

edit: where did you get mx5 seats for £20! Bargain!

Just how lanky are you, James? The builder of my Mk3 told me he's 6' 5" and he reckoned it was OK... :o
