Specifically, this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170375022792?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

This is listed as a Mini part. I wanted to know if it's the same as the Metro equivalent, so I asked the seller a question:
"Can you tell me if the bump stop used on the Austin Metro is the same as the Mini one?"

His reply?
"No"

So either he couldn't tell me, or he reckoned it's different. I'm sure I've seen them cheaper, but I'm none the wiser. So, can someone here tell me if the Mini one is the same as the Metro one?

Helpful aren't they, and given they're mini metro spares

I'm pretty sure they're exactly the same, one screw fixing and the inner hole locating on a raised tab.

I bought some minispares ones thinking I was sure to get something of quality, they were all cracked within months.

Thanks Stuart. I see Rimmer Bros have them cheaper than Minispares so I'll give them a try. If they last more than a few months I suppose that'll be a bonus.

Why is it so difficult to find suppliers for A+ Metro spare parts? Although I suppose that's really a rhetorical question, if I'm honest.

They are exactly the same. If you look around there are poly versions knocking about for similar money which last years.

If only I'd waited four hours... ;)

I'll see if I can find some of those to keep for when the Rimmer bros. ones fail, then!

I've got some MOWOG ones I bought from Rover years back and never fitted that you'd have been welcome to.

Thanks Rich, that's very good of you! I've already gone and ordered a pair from Rimmer Bros though. The cheaper pattern ones of course, they wanted about £8 - £9 for one genuine one, so yours might be collectible... ;)
