windscreen gasket

Postby axshack » Tue Dec 23, 2014 4:15 pm

ok, folks, next question !
my windscreen seal is beyond redemption so needs replacing !
I understand that the Reliant Fox seal was used originally - so who knows where Reliant sourced it first?

Better still, I reckon WOOLIES can supply providing someone can tell me the sizes of the channels to fit the glass and the body.

I assume that these were already fitted by the factory back in the day, so any pointers will be gratefully received.

This is the woolies link: http://www.woolies-trim.co.uk/c-122-screen-section.aspx

I need to get this done asap, so any help will be very gratefully received

Cheers

Dave :)

Hi David

There is reference already on the forum, try a search such as Windscreen Rubber. Failing that talk to Alastair Courtney at Alternative Cars or on this Forum.

Hi, I tried Woolies a couple of years ago and they did not carry the right size.

Glad to be of assistance Dave. WR64 is dimensionally closer to the Reliant seal, however the body on my car isn't 5 mm thick, hence me thinking WR66 to be better suited. These seals don't have the additional 7 mm flap that the Reliant seal has, so won't look exactly the same.
