As part of the general 'check everything and replace what's needed' I spotted that the fuel filler hose had started to degrade at each end. At some stage an new filler cap had been fitted resulting in the pipe having been strained to fit. I needed something to go from the 2" filler to the 1 3/4" tank hose. A simple task ha! in the end I came across a firm who make exhaust fittings who would make the correct size reducer in stainless steel without the compression slots. Two sections of flexy hose also ordered. The only problem would be the need to bleed a small amound of air back into the tank as the filler didn't seem to have an air bleed. Solution B&Q 2mm brass tube spiralled inside the flexi coils.
The service from http://exhaustpartsuk.com/index.php?mai ... ts_id=3016 was excellent. Part made and delivered in three days. I emailed to check spec and viability first.
