It does indeed, there should be earthing points at either side of the engine bay. I'm assuming you have a Gold? The main headlights are standard 7" items and you'll get a useful performance increase by getting rid of the sealed beam units, Wipac Quadoptics are always a safe bet.

well, it turned out to be much more simple....
changed the bulb in the headlight unit (very glad it wasn't a sealed beam unit) and everything was fine. Except for the fact that the main beam light below stopped working, changed the bulb in that unit and it still doesn't work!

I must have knocked a wire loose but at least it wasn't an electrical ghost that are sometimes impossible to find!
