Filler pipe

Postby Jin » Mon Mar 04, 2019 1:13 am

Am I right in thinking the standard rover metro fuel filler pipe needs cutting down / shortening to fit into the mk4?
I ask as the replacement rover 100 3dr filler pipe I have purchased looks the same but longer?

Any help much appreciated
Thanks

The build manual states "The filler neck and venting tubes should be located and fixed as per the Haynes manual."

However, I have seen the necks shortened and I guess that is to get a better run with the flexible pipe section. If the current arrangement looks good then I would suggest taking a measurement off the old filler neck.

Thanks mate much appreciated.
I had read that also but assumed it had maybe been amended at a letter date?
To get my new one to resemble my old one I'd have to cut athe least 6 inches out
