Had a great time meeting both Midas and Mini folk.
Great weather made it even better. John

It certainly was a good day. Richard's car was chosen by the organizers to go on the central display stand and it certainly didn't look out of place next to the shiny Minis:

Leaving us with just two cars in the MOC area to begin with. However, the Mk1 "project car" certainly attracted a lot of attention and several interested parties wanting to buy it. Tip to anyone wanting to sell their Mk1, or Mk2 - take it to a Mini show!

Sam Dix was also there with the Norfolk Mini Owners Club. This was his first outing in the car having just got it back on the road. Tony twisted Sam's arm and got him signed up to the Midas Owners Club, so maybe he will join us in the Midas area at the next event.

It was good to meet so many new people and catch up with a few familiar faces like John, Richard and Sam. I even met Harold Dermott's former PA (I'm afraid that I didn't catch her name) who was there with her son, who is a Mini nut. We had a good discussion about the early days of Midas Cars as both she and her late husband had worked there, moving from Oldham to Corby with the company.
