We spent a rather warm weekend at the Royal Bath and West Showground for the club's second visit to the Bristol Classic Car Show. The South West's largest classic car event was rather down on exhibitors this year, which may be due to all the other events going on around the country. Apparently a couple of clubs pulled out on the Friday due to traffic problems on the M5. Tony got stuck in it for 5 hours and made it through, so Midas owners must be made of sterner stuff.
In fact Tony's efforts were rewarded by the organizers letting us expand our stand area from the two car stand originally assigned. On the Saturday Tony's car formed a second stand across the aisle from the original plot, along with our table, display boards and the flag pole. The club flag and flag pole have recently been reclaimed from Peter Hills' attic and will surely become a feature at all our future events.

Tony had to head home on Saturday evening so after a quick chat with the organizer's it was agreed that we could spread out a bit with the two cars and boards to maximise the presence of the remaining two cars.

Meredith doesn't normally have a halo, but he had been extra good the previous week!
Thanks must go to Meredith, Janet and Brian for bringing along two superb cars and manning the stand, not to mention for being such good company over a very hot weekend.
