The next event for the club is The National Kit Car Motor Show 2018, which everyone knows simply as Stoneleigh.

The club has booked its usual pitch on the N-W corner of block A50 where Midas owners can park up and meet up. As usual the club will be holding its AGM on the Sunday along with a barbecue.
There will be club tent on the pitch so volunteers will be needed to help erect it on Saturday and then lower it again on Monday afternoon (more details to follow).

This is usually the biggest gathering of Midas cars each year, so if there is one date to put in your diary it is this one.

Well that is Stoneleigh done for another year. We had 16 cars on the stand on Sunday and 7 cars on the Monday (plus another Midas floating around the showground). So the Sunday attendance was the best since our 2015 30th anniversary celebrations (and we didn't even have any cake this year!).

The best car award went to Brian and Julie Badcock's Mk2, but it was a close run thing and it just got the nod over Roy 'Fozza' Forrester's Mk2 Decathlon and Justin 'Jin' King's Cortez.

Peter Camping took the furthest travelled award, having come from Almere in the Netherlands, via Blyton Park.

A big thank you to all the owners who attended and made it such an enjoyable weekend, especially those who put up the tents on Saturday and a very big thank you to Marie for barbecue on Sunday and of course to Tony for organising it all.
